Workshop Place:
Hailing from Australia and now Berlin-based, Elle has been exploring dance from an early
age, dabbling in various styles. However, discovering Lindy Hop and Authentic Jazz was
when she felt most inspired, especially drawn to the conversational nature of jazz and the
freedom it offers. In Berlin, Elle runs Jam Haus, a dance project primarily focused on
authentic jazz as well as bridging jazz to other dance communities. She finds a lot of joy
investing time in her community, regularly collaborating with local schools and cultural
events, bringing people from diverse backgrounds together.
Originally from Mexico and now based in Berlin, Asael draws inspiration from
self-expression, shared spaces, and storytelling through movement, which have fueled his
dedication to exploring this African American art form over the years. He has a deep love for
rhythms, and his passion for learning about Jazz culture and values has also inspired him to
explore his own roots further, preserving Latin American influences in his art while
uncovering their connections to Jazz.
Born and raised in Madrid, he is a Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz teacher with passion for digging deep into original clips and creating new moves to participate in the innovation of this dance. When he is not on the dance floor, you can find him lost in the world of illustration or playing his bass. He loves the contrast of explosive and relaxed dancing and he can't wait to share that with you!
Dom & Nora tried a lot of dances and sports since they could walk – when finally Lindy Hop found them, about 15 years ago.
Today they are professional and passionate Lindy Hop dancers, instructors and performers. They continuously travel to teach and to dance around Europe. They competed at the International Lindy Hop Championships in 2025, 2018, 2017 & 2016, European Swing Dance Championships in 2015 & 2013 and are regularly in Finals of Strictly Lindy Hop competitions at international swing dance festivals.
In 2014 they founded their own swing dance school SwingAUT in Vienna, Austria. Since then they share their love for Lindy Hop and Swing in Austria and in Europe.
They love Swing Outs, fast Swing Outs! As they dance together already for several years, they know a lot about strong partnership and having a good connection to your partner. They love to dance dynamic and keeping the energy and the flow with your partner and the music. And they love to fly in the air!
Sid has been teaching house dance for over 10 years, including at the Vienna Dance Center. His relaxed, groovy style makes him a joy to watch.
He uses this same ease to teach the basics of house dance to other dancers. His focus is on foundations and footwork. This gives his students a solid foundation to build upon, regardless of their individual dance development.
This dance can give you a lot of inspiration for your Solo Jazz and Lindy Hop!
House dance is a social and club dance style that developed in the underground house music scene, particularly in clubs in Chicago and later New York City during the 1980s and 1990s. It is danced primarily to house music and emphasizes freedom, musicality, rhythm, and personal expression rather than strict choreography.
House dance draws from many earlier dance traditions like African dance, Tap dance Jazz dance, latin dances or breaking.
They are kind of our House Band, playing at a lot of parties in our studio.
We just love them, as their energy vibes so good together with the dancers in the rooms of our studio, you just can't sit still and have to dance!
